Race Rules & Safety

The safety of our riders and spectators is KAMA’s top priority. To ensure fair and fun competition, all participants must follow these rules:

Race Rules & Safety

  • Protective Gear: Helmet, goggles, boots, gloves, long sleeves, and pants are required at all times while riding. Chest protectors are strongly encouraged.

  • Track Rules: Ride only in the designated direction and stay on the marked course. No reckless riding or horseplay.

  • Race Conduct: Respect flaggers, officials, and fellow riders. Unsportsmanlike behavior will not be tolerated.

  • Pit Safety: No speeding in the pit area—idle speed only. Bikes must be shut off during fueling.

  • Medical Support: An EMT or first aid responder will be present at every event. Report all injuries immediately.

  • Parental Supervision: Riders under 18 must have a parent or guardian present

By entering the race, all riders and families agree to follow these rules to keep motocross safe, fair, and fun for everyone.

Race Rules

  • Race Format: Each class will run 2 motos on race day.

  • Laps by Class:

    • PW50 & Staycix: 3 laps

    • 65cc & Wahine: 4 laps

    • All Other Classes: 5 laps

  • Points System: Overall placing is determined by the combined results of both motos (best of two motos).

  • Race Day: All races are held on Sundays unless otherwise noted.

Waivers

All riders must have a signed waiver on file before participating in any KAMA motocross event. The waiver is required for your safety and for the protection of the organization.

  • Minors (under 18): A parent or legal guardian must be present at check-in to sign the waiver. Riders under 18 will not be allowed on the track without a signed waiver from a parent/guardian.

  • Adults (18+): All riders must sign the waiver themselves before practice or racing begins.

  • One-Time or Season: Waivers must be signed at each event unless otherwise stated by KAMA.

By signing, riders and families acknowledge the risks of motocross, agree to follow all race rules, and release KAMA, officials, and volunteers from liability.

Waivers will be available at the registration table on race day.
